Yarningale is situated at the end of a tiny country lane with no through traffic whatsover. We are 'totally secluded', but not remote! - with probably one of the best views in Dartmoor! The moorland town of Moretonhampstead is only about 5 minutes drive, or a comfortable twenty minutes walk, if you are feeling energetic!

The Dartmoor National Park is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many interesting places to visit, and numerous walks with stunning scenery.

The Catherdral City of Exeter is only half an hours drive, Plymouth with its famous Mayflower steps, and the Barbican is less than an hour. Even the Eden project can be comfortabley reached in an hour and a half. For people wanting the sea, according to which coast you want to visit, journey times vary from 45 minutes to one hour

The annexe is completley self contained unit, comprising of a conservatory ( used as a dining room, this leads into a kitchen, (fridge/freezer, washing machine, cooker, microwave etc.. sorry no dishwasher).Then up the stairs to, two nicely furnished bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, both bedrooms have televisions, hairdryers, and tea/coffee facilites.The sitting room is very comfortable and has a bed settee, there is a TV and video, also a selection of books and videos in case of inclement weather.

This is the view from the patio area, deck chairs, gas barbecue, and patio heater are available on request. Guests are very welcome to use the garden. There is also ample parking.

Items supplied: All bed linen, towels, tea towels, new dish cloth, washing up liquid,and 4 toilet rolls.

Central heating is included in the price.

Electricity is via a £1 coin meter.

The water supply is from a well.

An advanced grocery order will be purchased upon request.

How to find us:

From the M5:

Come off at junction 31 taking the signpost for Okehampton A30, come off at the first junction signposted Marsh Barton and Moretonhampstead light vechicles only. You will come to a big roundabout take the first junction off it, you are now on the B3212, continue drivng along the long stretch of road, and turn left continue on up the hill leaving Swains garage on your right. Continue driving on this road for approximately 7 miles, you will come to a bridge going over a river, proceed up the hill, driving through woods. You will get to a little hamlet called Doccombe, there is a phone box on the right hand side. Continue on the road, up the hill and drop down the otherside, look over to the right you will see a signpost on a 'no through road sign' which says Yarningale B&B, we are at the far end of this lane you literally cannot drive any further.

From the A38

From the M5 take the A38 road signposted Plymouth, continue down this dual carriageway, until you see the signpost for Bovey Tracey, come off here and follow the signpost to Bovey Tracey, you will come to a roundabout , with the fire station on your left continue over the roundabout, and follow the road to Moretonhampstead ( approx 6 miles), you will come up into the town with Llyods bank on your right, turn right here, you are now on the B3212, signposted Dunsford, follow this road for about 1.5 miles, and you will see a left turning , ( this is the first left road turning out of Moretonhampstead), there is a sign on the no' through road sign', which says Yarningale B&B, we are at the far end of the lane, you literally cannot drive any further.

 

From the A30

From the M5 take the A30 signposted Okehampton, continue on the dual carriageway until you get to Whjiddon Down turn off, come off here contiue through Whiddon Down until you get to the mini roundabout ,and take the left turn signposted Moretonhampstead, stay on this road and you will get to Moretonhampstead after about 6 miles. The Bell Inn will be on your left, turn left here, you will be on the B 3212, signposted Dunsford,continue on this road for about 1.5 miles, ( this is the first left turning out of Moretonhampstad), there is a sign on the no 'through road sign', which says Yarningale B&B. we are at the far end of the lane, you literally cannot drive any further.
